Beyond Flashing Lights: DJ Graffiti’s Honor to Bring Joy to Optum’s Medical Heroes’ Cinco De Mayo Celebration

Sometimes it seems the grass is greener over there…

I just got reminded it isn’t.

I celebrated Cinco De Mayo in Atlanta, while DJing for Optum‘s Partnership Forum.

Thousands of physicians took over an entire hotel downtown.

I didn’t fully realize it until the end of the night…

This was the first time they’d gotten together to celebrate in person since COVID.

Even though we’d already gone an extra half hour, nobody wanted to stop at the end of the night!

That’s actually the only complaint I hear from my in person events, “We wished it could go longer.”

It made my night when someone showed me a text after…

“I can’t believe he has all these doctors doing the Yung Joc together.”

Had to make sure we represented for Atlanta!

Occasionally I have FOMO seeing other DJs posts of flashing lights, bottles and models.

No amount of NY-MIA-LA club rocking could match the impact of celebrating the medical professionals that brought us through COVID.

I’m so grateful that I get to do this!

For real though… I teared up when the full gravity of what I’d just been a part of hit me.
